Pictureplane - “Dark Rift”
My take on “Dark Rift” so far .. Since the rest of the internet is saying to watch out for Pictureplane - I am watching out and listening up.
‘Dimensional Rip III’ - This jam pumppps me up. 1:15 - 1:43 is my favorite part of the song, I like the distance sounds of her vocals.
‘New Mind’ - So this track could have easily been played at my bat-mitzvah, right after La Bouche. It’s totally that early 90’s pump pump the jam type of music.
‘Trance Doll’ - Really like the trancey dub sound. It’s like dramatic dub. Almost sounds like something I imagine hearing walking into a really upscale club in Japan. This is going to sound bazaar, but if Sex and the City was still happening, I would see this song being played in one of the club scenes where Cary is all upset over Mr. Big.
‘Cyclical Cyclical (Atlantis)’ - I feel like this track will be the easiest for the general public to accept. If I was the DJ at a the Diesel store on Lexington and 59th I would totally play this song.
‘Transparent Now (Thin Veil)’ - oh hello first 20 seconds of Miike Snow’s ‘Animal’ - do I hear a ridiculous amount of resemblence. The song needs more of the noise you hear at 2:35.
