Rostram Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend and Wes Miles from Ra Ra Riot have been recording music since 2005, but have been busy with the success of their respective bands. But now the time is ripe for the release of DISCOVERY’s debut album LP. Due out July 7th, LP is a commentary on the pop music of the past decade with handclaps, synth and bass, but it still manages to capture an indie vibe lent by Wes’s and Rostram’s voices.
With guest vocals by Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend and Angel Deradoorian from Dirty Projectors and overall danceability, LP from DISCOVERY is the perfect album for summer.
